In my previous global numerology forecasts for 2008 (political and economical mayhem) and 2009 (brotherhood issues, the search for common ground) I mentioned the decade 2008-2017 would be a pivotal period in the evolution of mankind.
The Mayan's note that 2012 marks the end of a 5,126 year cycle (and the beginning of a new cycle), which seems to me to be pretty much right on the money as 2012 represents the 5 (change, change, and more change) Universal Year cycle within the aforementioned 2008-2017 epicycle.
Of course, cycles don't actually start on one specific day but rather behave like waves; there is a run-up period that increases in intensity, a climax (usually not recognized as such for some time after that), followed by a relatively slow fading back towards some state of normality.
The eventual state of normality we reach at the end of the 2008-2017 decade will look vastly different from our current world. In fact, as I have mentioned in previous blogs and articles, even the most imaginative and optimistic among us will probably underestimate this "new" world.
2010 is numerological a 3 Universal Year, with the number 1 (main challenge number) acting as a bit of a spoiler and bringing in some negative influences, while the 3 shines its warm and playful light from above. (Speaking in analogies, for each of us as individuals it is crucial that you not spend too much time in the shade.)
The numbers for the coming year show a wide range of challenges and opportunities but one dominating factor overshadows everything else; the leadership challenge. On every level, and most obviously the global playing field, changes in leadership positions will be a main issue causing tensions in the political and economic arenas.
With the number 1 represented as the main challenge number for 2010 - producing a kind of "vacuum effect" as a controlling factor - we can be sure the competitive relationship between the major powers will only increase.
Whereas the US has for decades played a decisive leadership role, this is no longer the case now that the EU and China are catching up and, in some cases, have bypassed the US. And among smaller nations, including some developing countries, the aggressive competition among neighbors may give rise to violent skirmishes if not full-blown wars.
Where an increase in aggression and ruthless competition (the number 1) enforces intolerance and the narrow-minded dogmas of those low on the evolutionary ladder causing this sorry state to continue to play its destructive role, while on the other side of the spectrum the glow of the number 3 brings increased tolerance and understanding and boosting the spiritual experience of those individuals who choose love over hate, light over darkness, joy over misery.
Looking at the Universal Month cycles 2010 should bring some additional surprises.
January gives a boost to the global economy and puts many people back to work, however, there is also a considerable dose of frustration and a sense of stagnation as for many others it feels like they are moving through a field of mud.
February will be very dynamic and turbulent as it brings some completely unexpected turns and events (possibly weather related), some good, some bad, but overall it is probably a good thing that there are only 28 days in that month.
March gives us a sense of progress and optimism, while April moves spiritual and religious issues to the foreground. May brings peace to some areas, violence to others as the need for, and shifts in, authority and control dominate many areas on the planet.
The bigger changes and the most important shifts take place during June and July when we jump from a 9 month (June) to a 1 month (July). Given the overall picture of 2010, this could be a particularly noticeable shift affecting especially the economy, but natural disasters like earthquakes and volcanic activity could also be part of the picture.
August has a soothing effect that will be a bit of a relief, while September is a month when nothing is what it appears to be as seemingly successful diplomatic missions cause major problems, while instances of potentially catastrophic dangers fizzle out with nary a consequence.
October, like January, sees improvements in the economy but also brings long-simmering frustrations and anger to a head, culminating in strikes and protests.

Dear Kristy.
Other people have asked what the significance of that date is too, so I am happy to respond to your question concerning 12/21/2010.
When we reduce it to single digit numbers, we find that 12, for the month of December, becomes a 3 (1+2), the 21st day also reduces to 3 (2+1), and when we add the digits in 2010 we again arrive at 3 (2+0+1+0).
However, there are three other dates this month that also reduce to 3/3/3. They are December 3, December 12, and December 30. This tells us that the numerology "vibration" for those four days is similar, though not identical. All four dates will stimulate and enhance our creativity, to name but one influence, but both, December 3 and December 30 are more creative in the pure sense of the word, than December 12 and 21, which are more focused on individuality and independence.
The month of December, 2010, as a whole brims with creativity and communication. I consider the hoopla around Wikileaks to be a prime example of that. Whether you like it or not, the exposure of massive amounts of secret and confidential material is an example of the number 3 in action, including what is perhaps the number 3's most recognized weakness, an unwillingness to take responsibility. And there are many other examples of December's creative energy, both positive and negative.
More troublesome, in my mind, is that while the 3 increases our ability to present information, create visual and verbal expressions, communicate, and shine a bright light into dark corners, it also tends to lower our moral standards and obligations. Worse, it tends to make us irresponsible. Again, I see examples of that all around me, with the huge information Tsunami caused by Wikileaks front and center. The communication storm currently playing out, not only delivers information, it just as easily brings misinformation and miscommunication.
Again, I will use Wikileaks as an example. On one hand, exposing deeds and misdeeds is generally a good thing. On the other hand, if that kind of exposure does damage to individuals and institutions, we would likely not want that to happen. And so here we are, many people who are outraged over this, and those who feel it was high time someone exposed the underhanded sneaky methods used by governments everywhere.
Both sides are emotional and polarized to the extent that communication between them is all but impossible. It would be difficult to find a better example of the kind of actions typical to the 3.
The most complicated aspect of analyzing dates, is that they don't just stand separate and alone. Think of them as soldiers. Each soldier has his or her specific and unique attitude and traits, however, they operate in units that consist of several soldiers - the unit, by definition, dilutes the influence of each soldier's personality. A unit, in turn, is connected and operates in a coordinated manner with a multitude of other units, thereby tempering each soldier's sway even more, and so forth. By the time we look at the army as a whole, each soldier's influence is almost nonexistent but its combined power can conquer countries.
Similarly, days form weeks form months form years, and with each expansion the individual influence of a single day becomes almost nil. And yet, dramatic events like a stock market crash or a catastrophe of some kind, tend to happen on a specific day. But keep in mind, it is the influence of a range of numbers representing days, months, if not years, that reflect the nature, the cause, and the likely outcome of these events.
Kristy, to answer your question, I don't expect anything particularly spectacular on December 21, just a continuation of what we are already experiencing this chaotic, creative, irresponsible month (causing chaos being another of the number 3's special talents). In fact, I see December 30 as slightly more likely to deliver some big headlines, as it shifts the balance more towards the negative 3 with the addition of a zero.
As always, the way each of us experiences the influence of a single calendar day, no matter how unique the numbers for that particular date, is more obvious by looking at your individual cycles. Your personal day cycles are like sharply outlined shapes and forms against a backdrop of muted colors and fading shapes that represent the calendar dates. If you want to know how you, personally, will be affected, you may want to look at your own forecast instead of the calendar dates.
