Numerology and Name Changes

Your numerology chart generally changes for the better if you return to your maiden name following divorce

Does numerology recommend going back to my original name after divorce?

Will it affect me in some way?

Yes. And almost certainly in a positive way.

A rule of thumb: The name closest in makeup to the name given at birth is the more favorable to you and to what you want out of this life.

When you take on your husband's name at marriage, you surrender (not just symbolically) a part of yourself. Today, many women no longer change their names and, as a numerologist and a life-long feminist, I am pleased to see that trending.

Your name reflects who you are and gives clear indications how to make the best of yourself and your life. Relinguishing that is generally not a good thing.

There are, however, plenty of exceptions to change your name.

You may want to change your name because it would positively impact your career (actors and other performance artists, perhaps writers, etc.). I have also met people who had bad, even traumatic early life-experiences for which they blame one or both of their parents, and for that reason want to change their name to remove the stain of bad memories. This is almost always helpful, but the new name should be chosen carefully.

It is surprising how many people who change their name for "organic" reasons (marriage, adoption, career requirements - as opposed to artificial: I want an 8 in my name so I am changing it to... ) intuitively or coincidentally acquire a name with just the right number combinations to make a positive impact.

Also consider that the age-old practice of the woman surrendering her name to that of her husband is often beneficial to the relationship.

There is a woman's sacrifice of a part of the her true self, in order to strengthen the relationship. There is nothing wrong or unfair about that. The husband also sacrifices. However, if the relationship ends, the woman, as a rule, has an easier time finding herself back if she starts using her own name again.

I would advise to have both names analyzed, because, as I mentioned earlier, there are plenty of exceptions.
